1. Website terms and project agreements
These Terms & Conditions govern use of the Meridian Underground LLC website and its request features. “Meridian,” “we,” and “us” refer to Meridian Underground LLC. The website provides information about services and a way to request work; it is not a project-specific service agreement.
The scope, price, deliverables, timing, payment terms, and any other conditions for actual field services must be confirmed through the applicable accepted quote or service agreement. If those project-specific terms conflict with general website descriptions, the accepted project agreement governs the work. These website terms do not add cancellation fees, indemnity obligations, or a cap on liability to a service agreement.
2. Submitting a request
Provide accurate contact details, the project location, requested work limits, and information relevant to the scope. You must be authorized to make the request and share any documents or other information you submit. A request does not authorize entry onto a property; necessary access and permission must be arranged before a visit.
Submitting the form, receiving an automated acknowledgement, or choosing a preferred date does not book an appointment or confirm that Meridian has accepted the work. We will review the request and confirm the next step. Do not rely on an unconfirmed request when planning excavation or mobilization.
3. Prices, availability, and changes
Published prices describe the service and assumptions stated with the price. Your confirmed quote identifies the applicable scope, included time, deliverables, and any agreed additional charges. Travel, additional field time, expanded scope, and priority service may affect the total where applicable and confirmed for the project.
Website prices and availability may change for future requests. A website update does not, by itself, change an already accepted quote or service agreement. If you notice an error or a difference between a page and your quote, ask us to clarify it before authorizing work.
To change or cancel a request or appointment, contact Meridian promptly. Any payment, rescheduling, or cancellation conditions come from the applicable accepted quote or service agreement.
4. Private locating and Georgia 811
Meridian is an independent private utility locating business. Our services supplement the public utility notification and marking process; they do not replace Georgia 811 notifications, required waiting periods, ticket-status checks, or safe excavation practices.
Clients and excavators remain responsible for satisfying the requirements that apply to their work. An independent 811 verification visit is not a replacement 811 ticket, a utility owner’s clearance, or authorization to excavate. Visit Georgia 811 for current notification and safe-digging resources.
5. Locating limitations and site information
Utility detection depends on the agreed scope and actual field conditions, including access, utility material, tracer-wire continuity, depth, interference, and the quality of available records. A utility that is not detected or marked should not be assumed absent. Website descriptions are not a guarantee that every buried facility can be found or that an excavation area is free of hazards.
Share known utility records, access restrictions, hazards, and changes to the planned work area. Resolve discrepancies and unanswered questions before proceeding. Markings and field findings must be considered with the relevant scope, date, and limitations; a previous visit is not automatic clearance for later or expanded work.
6. Mapping and digital records
Mapping deliverables document the observations and positions collected within the agreed scope. Accuracy depends on equipment, conditions, correction services, and the capture workflow. Specific accuracy requirements and deliverable formats must be agreed for the project; website references to GNSS equipment are not a universal accuracy guarantee.
The website’s county map is a service-area illustration. Utility mapping is not a property-boundary survey or an engineering certification unless an applicable, separately agreed service expressly provides otherwise. Digital records support planning and documentation and do not replace current locating or required field verification before excavation.
7. Priority requests and immediate hazards
Expedited service is subject to dispatch acceptance and availability. A priority request or published surcharge does not guarantee immediate attendance or 24-hour coverage.
The website and request form are not emergency reporting channels. For an immediate threat to life or safety, contact 911 and the appropriate utility emergency contact rather than waiting for a response from Meridian.
8. Acceptable website use
Use the website for lawful inquiries and business purposes. Do not submit false or unauthorized requests, upload malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the website, impersonate another person, or submit content that infringes another person’s rights.
Website text, branding, layouts, and images belong to Meridian or their respective owners. You may view the website and retain information needed to evaluate or arrange services. Other reuse of protected content requires permission from the relevant rights holder, except where permitted by law. Third-party product photographs do not imply that the manufacturer endorses Meridian.
9. Jobber, Google, and external links
Jobber provides the request form, including when it opens within this website. Google provides the linked business profile and reviews. These services have their own terms, privacy practices, and availability. An external link does not make Meridian responsible for all content or functions on that platform.
If the form fails, contact Meridian directly. A message that has not reached Meridian cannot be treated as an accepted request. How inquiry information is handled is explained in our Privacy Policy.
10. Website information and changes
We aim to keep website information useful and current, but errors, interruptions, or outdated information can occur. Confirm project-specific requirements directly with Meridian. We may update website content and these terms; the date above identifies the latest update. Changes do not retroactively alter an accepted project agreement.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or obligations that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Dispute procedures, risk allocation, and any service warranties should be addressed in the applicable project agreement rather than assumed from a website description.
